DHI QUESTIONS
- Is DHI a reliable procedure?
Having no major side effects, this technique is the foremost advanced hair transplant technique and its success rate is extremely high. It is also successful in obtaining natural hair appearance.
- Do I need to shave my hair before the operation?
In other hair transplantation techniques, you may need to have your hair cut before the hair transplantation. However, in case of DHI technique, there is no such need. In this technique, it is enough to shave the small area where hair grafts are collected. There is no such requirement for the rest of the areas. Moreover, it is recommended not to shave 7-10 days before the procedure.
- Can hair transplantation be performed if there is not enough hair follicle?
In general, the hair grafts in the donor area are enough for DHI and other hair transplant techniques. The number of hair grafts needed may change according to patient. In intensive plantings, the grafts here may be insufficient. In such situations, hair from different parts of the body may be used.
- When can I see the results?
It is not possible to see the results right after the hair transplantation. You need to wait at least three months for this. The results you see after 6 months are more realistic and they constitute 60% of the final results. You will need 10-12 months to see the full results.
- Why is DHI technique more expensive than FUE technique?
In both techniques, the amount to be paid varies according to the number of hair follicles to be transplanted. However, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that, in general, DHI is 20% more expensive. The reason for this is the disposable Choi implant pens in DHI technique. Although these pens increase the cost, the success rate significantly increases thanks to these pens.
- Can DHI technique be applied to women?
Yes, it can. This technique can be applied both to men and women.

FUE QUESTIONS
- Do I need to stay in the hospital after the hair transplantation?
No, you don’t. You can go home or to your hotel after the procedure is completed. But you shouldn’t miss the checks.
- Should I dress after the hair transplantation?
Yes, you should. The donor area where the grafts are collected for the transplantation is covered with bandage whereas the area transplanted is left open. The bandage is removed after 1 or 2 days by the doctor who has done the hair transplantation and the healing process is accelerated by leaving this area open.
- Will there be redness?
The channels opened for hair transplantation will cause redness. But this situation is not permanent and will disappear after some time. The recovery period is generally 8-10 days. The possibility of redness is quite less in DHI technique. For FUE, the vague rashes will disappear completely in 7-10 days.
- When can I wash my hair?
The first hair wash after the hair transplantation will be done by your doctor. When you go for dressing, which is 1-2 days after the hair transplantation, your doctor washes your hair in an appropriate way. For the next 15 days, you should wash your hair every day as your doctor describes.
- When can I start doing exercise?
It may be risky to do exercise during the first 5 days after hair transplantation. Therefore, you can do exercise after the first 5 days, but you should avoid sweating. After the first two weeks, you can start normal exercises. This is also the case with the DHI technique.

BEARD TRANSPLANTATION QUESTIONS
- Till what age should I wait for beard transplantation?
You need to be at least 20 to 22 years old to decide about beard transplantation. Because beard may grow till these ages. If your beard does not grow till this period, then you can have beard transplantation.
- Will there be any permanent scars on my face because of beard transplantation?
No, there won’t. It is not possible to have such scars as a result of this process.
- When can I see the results exactly?
You can see the initial results approximately after 6 months. But these are not the exact results. For the exact results, you should wait at least a year.
- When can I have a bath after the operation?
It is risky to have a bath right after the operation. Especially, the beard transplanted should not interact with water during the first 5 days.
- Can I return to work right after the operation?
Yes, you can. This does not have any risk. However, there will be some redness in the areas where beard transplantation is done because of the transplantation itself and some other related applications. In addition, there may be temporary swelling on your face due to the local anaesthesia. If your job is heavy and causes sweating, you should not start right away and spend couple of days at home.
